“Community”

The condition of living with others in close relationships of interdependence”

Hello and welcome to Royal Oaks Church Online!

“Royal Oaks” is a beautiful name and it reflects what God has been doing in our personal lives, the life of our congregation and will do in the future. It derives its genesis from Isaiah 61:1-3, where God speaks prophetically to the nation of Israel and promises restoration and the planting of His people as the “Oaks of righteousness” the “Display of His splendor” (NIV). This is exactly what God has been doing here in our congregation. We are learning to live in the presence of God, enjoy His blessings and developing a community of intimate relationships with each other.

People today, long for warm, meaningful and sincere relationships. Children desire the love of their parents.  Teenagers sense the need to belong to peer groups.  Adults seek others with whom they can share common interests.  Seniors want to actively participate in the lives of their children.

Unfortunately, if our need for healthy relationships is not met, we are left disillusioned, fragmented and lonely.  We experience an emptiness that God never intended for us to have.  Jesus Christ modeled abundant, honest, committed relationships with others.  He began His ministry with a small group of twelve individuals.  He ate with them, traveled with them and developed close relationships with them.  So deep was the interaction among them that they developed a “community from within a community.”   Today, we know this “community” as the church.

Here, at Royal Oaks Church, God is again developing a community from within a community.  We are a community of people who enjoy His love and who celebrate with festive and reflective times of worship, a community of friends who value committed and caring relationships, and a community of families who implement God’s Word into their daily lives in a practical and relevant way.  A community dedicated to effectively loving and caring for all people.  Here at Royal Oaks we are dedicated to worshiping God freely and developing and strengthening the community God has called us to serve.  Please feel free to join us as we grow in the presence of God and our relationships with each other.

Who we are!

We Are Committed to Worship!

We first and foremost gather to worship the Lord in celebration and reflective worship. Our worship is expressed through song, expressions of praise and through practical daily living in response to God and His Word.

We Are Committed to People!

Our relationships with others are based upon a foundation of loving one another and accepting one another just as we are. We encourage, support and care for each other as we grow in our relationship with Jesus. This growth takes place in an environment of unconditional acceptance through prayer, reading the Bible and through fellowship with other compassionate and supportive believers in Christ.

We Are Committed to the Family!

We support the family structure and provide contemporary, relevant teaching to equip people with effective tools for building a Godly family life. We recognize and acknowledge the unique gifts and talents of our children and teenagers and commit to the development of their personal faith.

We Are Committed to the Community!

We present Jesus Christ in a contemporary, creative, credible and caring way to the people in the community, offering a place where they can grow to their full potential in Christ. We are personally committed to helping all new believers grow in their knowledge of Christ through the teaching of God’s Word, prayer, support groups, home groups, retreats, seminars and fellowship.

We Are Committed to the Universal Church!

We desire fellowship with other members of the body of Christ and promote harmony and reconciliation at every opportunity.
